Hi! I’m Tia

I am a bestselling author, keynote and TED speaker, and Founder of Arrive At Happy and The Calm Working Moms Collective. I have certifications in applied neuroscience, positive psychology, coaching, and am a Certified Chief Happiness Officer.

I led sales and marketing teams for 14-years in luxury hotels in the US and Europe. I struggled with mom guilt and feeling inadequate for a decade. The emotional pain of missing out on so much of my children’s lives and my passion for happy living led me to study positive psychology and become an entrepreneur.

I inspired and trained leaders and teams on the science of happiness and happiness at work & wrote a best best-selling book, Be a Happy Leader.

One of our children is autistic and has a rare nervous system disability. It has been an extremely challenging and beautiful parenting journey. I realized that my traditional parenting style was making things much worse and I was not as connected to her as I wanted to be. I have been on a transformational healing journey including EMDR, neurofeedback, somatic experiencing, cognitive behavioral, IFS, and meditation. Healing has allowed me to move from anxious, fearful, and self-critical to self-compassionate, connected, and full of self-love.

My research and personal experience prove that it is possible to overcome the challenges of balancing your career and motherhood, and find a path to inner peace and happiness.

So I started teaching and sharing my findings -
And what I shared with other working moms helped them too!

And the results speak for themselves…

“Joining Calm Working Moms has been one of the most impactful decisions I’ve made. It’s more than just a supportive community—it’s a space where I’ve learned how to pause, breathe, and reconnect with who I am beyond the chaos of work and motherhood. Through the tools, insights, and honest conversations, I’ve experienced real shifts—not just in how I manage stress, but in how I show up for myself and my family. I’ve gained clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of calm in my daily life. It’s helped me let go of the guilt and pressure to "do it all," and instead focus on what truly matters. I walk away from each session with renewed energy, perspective, and practical steps I can use right away. It’s been a game-changer, both personally and professionally. I'm so grateful for this space, for Tia's wisdom and the incredible women in it.”

Gender equality is moving backwards. We continue to treat women in the workforce as a nice to have and not a must have, threatening women’s economic freedom, and the health of our families, businesses, and the broader economy.

MOMS FIRST aims to create sweeping change in three critical areas:

WORKPLACES

We galvanize the private sector to transform our workplaces to finally work for moms

COMMUNITY

We mobilize a grassroots community of moms and supporters to take action in their homes, workplaces, and communities

CULTURE

We change the conversation about moms: who they are, the value they bring society, and why we must invest in them
